Meet the Team
Nick DeSando
Partner/Co-Founder
VP Business Development and Direct Hire Search
Nick has been recruiting finance and accounting professionals in the greater DC area for over 15 years. He started his staffing career at the largest specialized staffing firm in the world. Most recently, he was a VP at a boutique, DC based firm, where he spent 11+ years. Throughout his career he has enjoyed servicing all industries with clients ranging from start-ups to large publicly traded companies.
His Edge is a tireless work ethic and relationships with top tier professionals. He is passionate about partnering with clients to build great teams and advising candidates on their next career move.
Nick attended High Point University, where he received a Bachelor’s in Finance. He calls Vienna, Virginia home with his wife and three children. Nick loves playing sports—pickup basketball, golf, and tennis are his current hobbies. He also enjoys coaching his son’s Little League baseball team, his daughter’s soccer team, and watching his older son compete in dive.
Annemarie Drumheller
Partner/Co-Founder
VP Recruitment and Consulting Services
Annemarie started her career in recruitment with the second largest professional staffing firm in the world. Prior to Edge, she was a VP at a regional firm where she built a highly successful practice. She brings more than 15 years of overall professional sales experience, including 11+ years focused on client services and recruitment in the Accounting and Finance field.
Her Edge is her passion for helping others. She enjoys making the best match for both her clients and candidates. She has built an expansive network of accounting and finance professionals in the DC metro market and looks to continue to grow that for many years to come.
Annemarie graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration degree in Marketing. She resides in Fairfax, Virginia with her husband and two children. When she is not recruiting, Annemarie enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling to beaches all over the country, and watching her kids sports and activities.
Taylor Fox
Recruiting Manager
Taylor has been recruiting accounting, finance, and cleared professionals across the country for over 7 years. He began his career with one of the fastest growing staffing companies in the United States. Prior to joining the Edge team, he was a Recruiter and Business Development Manager for a top regional accounting and advisory firm named by Accounting Today. Taylor has supported a vast range of client industries varying in size from small privately held companies up to Fortune 500 publicly traded companies. Additionally, he is highly experienced within the government contracting industry and has supported many prime and subcontractors throughout his career.
His Edge is a true passion for helping others, clients, and candidates alike. He is passionate about helping clients with their key talent needs and helping candidates advance themselves in their careers both personally and professionally.
Taylor is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville where he received a BA in Accounting and is a graduate of Leadership Greater Huntsville, a servant leadership program. Taylor enjoys spending time with his newborn son Elliott and wife Samantha. He also enjoys volunteering in his local community through nonprofit organizations and serving his country as a cleared professional soldier in the United States Army National Guard.
Maci Bernecker
Recruiter
Maci joined Edge Staffing Partners in May 2023 as a Recruiting Intern and then joined us full time in May 2024 upon graduation. She focuses on supporting our recruiting team for temporary and direct hire positions and has quickly learned the ins and outs of the staffing business.
Her Edge is having grown up around staffing as her dad is a veteran leader in the business. She has made an immediate impact on our recruiting team and is becoming an expert in the accounting/finance vertical.
Maci is from Williamsburg, Virginia and is a graduate of Old Dominion University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a Minor in Marketing. While at Old Dominion she was a college cheerleader. When not recruiting, Maci enjoys spending time at her family beach house and hanging out with friends.
Matt Richard
Senior Recruiter
Matt Richard is an accomplished Senior Recruiter with more than 13 years of experience leading full-cycle talent acquisition across corporate, agency, and large-scale organizational environments. He has worked 5 years focused on recruitment in the Accounting and Finance field, and has almost 3 years of corporate government contracting recruiting experience.
His Edge is building strong relationships with executives and hiring managers, developing recruitment strategies that align with business goals, and driving high-volume hiring efforts with speed and precision.
Matt holds a B.S. in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources from Virginia Tech. He enjoys spending time and traveling with his family, golfing, skiing, and supporting Virginia Tech athletics.
Stephanie Romero
Sourcing Manager
Stephanie brings over eight years of experience recruiting accounting and finance professionals and a genuine excitement for connecting people with the right opportunities. Prior to joining Edge, she built her career with a boutique staffing firm in the DC area where she developed a strong network of top talent.
Her Edge is the joy of the hunt—she enjoys sourcing high and low to find the right candidates and building strong, lasting relationships along the way. She takes pride in matching candidates with meaningful opportunities where they can thrive and achieve long term success.
Stephanie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Christopher Newport University. Originally from Fairfax, Virginia, she now resides in North Carolina with her husband and daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, thrifting, reading, and traveling the world.
